Remote Support
When you need IT support for your device but can’t make it into the store for diagnostic service, consider allowing us to help you through our remote services. At Ribbit Computers, we have the ability to troubleshoot a device over a secure network through a program called Splashtop.
Splashtop is a trusted, simple, and free download that connects your device directly to one of our machines. From there, we should be able to assist you in troubleshooting an error or issue all while remaining as noninvasive as possible.
How to Schedule a Session
The process for starting a remote session is relatively the same for on-site appointments. You’ll need to contact us and explain your issue in depth. Then, we’ll reply with a good time and date to start the session. Needless to say, a remote session takes less preparation, therefore, we are able to schedule a session with more leniency.
Once we have the session scheduled, you will either be directed by one of our agents to the download link, or the download link will be emailed directly to you. After clicking the link, it should start downloading immediately. Splashtop will give an authentication code, which you will have to relay to the agent helping you. Once we have the code Splashtop provided you, we will have access to your computer.
Pricing for Remote Support
The first hour of the session is $74.99. We’ll likely be able to fix your issue within the first hour, however, if the remote session must surpass that first hour, we charge $49.99 for every 30 minutes after the first hour.
To clarify this further, a remote session lasting only 30 minutes would be charged as $74.99. A session lasting an hour and 15 minutes would include the price of 1 hour and 30 minutes.
